Kit Room Support

We are looking for a motivated and organised person to be part of our busy rental team.

This position is suitable for someone who has experience in equipment rentals or is looking to make a career start within the industry.

About Us

Since 1996 Optical Support has built a reputation specialising in camera stabilising solutions and wireless systems for the UK Film and Television Industry.

Supplying equipment for numerous features, dramas and a whole range of varied productions, James Bond, Star Wars and Game of Thrones naming just a few.

We have a strong engineering background, which has enabled us to develop, modify and manufacture products for specialist equipment rental and sales to customers internationally. In recent years we have expanded further into sales and have become distributors and suppliers for a number of manufacturers leading us to design and create our own range of products.

About the Role

  • Assisting in the preparation and maintenance of the hire equipment
  • Booking couriers for deliveries and collections and helping out with the loading and unloading of equipment.

Person Profile

Technical knowledge is an advantage as there will be times needed to be hands on with the equipment; whether it being directly involved in the preparation of the equipment or offering technical support to the end users.

Required Skills:

  • Be a proactive and an organised team player who can follow instruction closely
  • Ability to follow direction as well as work on own initiative
  • Good telephone manner
  • Have great reliability and attention to detail.
