About the Role
We are launching an ambitious initiative, building upon the iconic global reach of the Vogue brand, to invest in cutting-edge digital journalism and deepen our relationship to Vogue's influential and ever-more connected audience. To help define and support this mission in concert with Vogue's international editions, we are creating a central editorial hub in London and are seeking an exceptional Creative Video Editor. 

As a Creative Video Editor you will create world class videos across all major video platforms including the international Vogue websites.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Edit enticing, original and high-quality original video content across multiple platforms. Creating compelling stories.
  • Responsible for the organisation, ingest, transcoding, backup, archival, QC and documentation of all footage across a busy post production team.
  • Create bespoke assets that show knowledge of and a consideration for social media audiences - including, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat.
  • Manage multiple edits and projects at the same time. 
  • Contribute innovative creative concepts across a broad range of video content. 
  • Help to develop and ensure the style, tone and quality of Vogue International video content.
  • Research, archive and present imagery, music and video content as support material to projects -  as well as research creatives and crew to work on future projects.
  • Research and source the best music tracks and sound effects for a given project, using a production music database.
  • Work flexibly and reactively to a high volume video workflow.
  • Help to create, update and develop all graphic assets for video content.  
  • Ensure all deadlines are met throughout the post production process and deliver final assets on time.
  • Keep up to date with the latest developments in video across platforms and devices - with a passion for visual storytelling and current trends in video and fashion films.
  • Keep abreast of editing software and hardware developments, and ensure department is up to date.
  • Share knowledge and be a champion for innovative video within an editorial team working with multiple different mediums.

About You
Essential Skills & Requirements:
  • Proven experience within the fashion, editorial or related content industry.  
  • High-level knowledge of creative video editing.
  • High-level experience in data wrangling, ingest settings, transcoding, video codecs and formats.
  • Knowledge of video archival through media asset management systems.
  • Upkeeping and organising a central edit server.
  • Good level of experience in colour correction and creative colour grading.
  • Good level of experience in motion graphics creation.

Required Software Knowledge:
  • Adobe Creative Suite - with particular high-level knowledge of Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop and Media Encoder
  • DaVinci Resolve.

Additional Skills:
  • Build and maintain industry standard camera systems (most specifically RED DSMC2 and Alexa cameras).
  • Understanding of and experience in recording sound.
