Edit Assistant & Media Operator

We have an exciting opportunity for an Edit Assistant & Media Operator to join the Operations team.  

The job holder will work to deliver optimum technical efficiency to enable the company to deliver a competitive, agile and flexible technical response to meet the developing needs of our clients.

We have been established in London’s Soho for over 40 years are one of the most respected names in the industry, specialising in episodic television drama, feature films, feature documentaries, broadcast factual and 4K, UHD & HDR productions.


The Role - Key responsibilities include:


You will be part of our talented team of Edit Support and Media Operators, operationally and technically supporting the creative editing teams and clients in audio, offline, online and final deliverables.

Being part of a growing multi-skilled team you will be given the opportunity to learn different skills in all aspects of technical operations including Avid Edit Support, QC, grading support working with state of the art toolsets and creating deliverables for emerging formats for clients such as Netflix, Amazon, Hollywood studios and global TV broadcasters.


About you – Key skills and experience:

  • You will have a working knowledge of Avid, Premiere and other NLE system project management and media manipulation.
  • Similar experience in an assisting or operational role within a Post Production environment.
  • Working knowledge of Conforms and Pre-Grades preferable.
  • You will ideally have previous experience of both tape and digital media duplication, encoding, transcoding and digitising services.
  • You will have worked in a role that has provided technical, operational and practical support for clients, editors in a production, broadcast or post production environment.
  • Understand how to prepare edit suites, kit and media for the editors and be proficient at managing media storage and transferring media.
  • Knowledge of all standard VTR decks and tape formats is an advantage.
  • Some QC experience would be a bonus.
  • Importantly you will be a great team player and strive to provide a high level, reliable, friendly frontline service together with the rest of the technical operations team.
