Assisting News Editor
We have a fantastic opportunity to join a leading global news network as an Assisting News Editor, ensuring the smooth delivery of news bulletins worldwide. 

Previous experience in a busy news room environment is essential for this role.

As Assisting News Editor, you will be required to assist in the making of news shows whilst ensure that the pace and high quality of the company's content is adhered to. 

A vital part to this role will be to oversee the Production team in building news bulletins, supervising and approving scripts and content that will go on-air whilst ensuring that it meets the required legal guidelines. 

Your duties will also include:
  • Keeping up with breaking news and live coverage
  • Organising running orders
  • Cutting photos
  • Re-writing scripts when required, and
  • Assisting in choosing suitable guests to interview. 


To be considered for this role, it is essential that you can demonstrate strong experience of working in a busy news room environment within a similar role, and you must have excellent knowledge of international news. 

As Assisting News Editor, you must also be comfortable to provide excellent support to Senior Producers.

Please be aware that you must have a flexible work approach as this role will be working on a 7 day fortnight shift pattern, including weekends.
