Telegenic is now searching for a Junior-level OB Vision Engineer for our Vision Department.

The Junior-level Vision Guarantee will play a key role within the company. Providing technical solutions and support within the team and across the fleet, to ensure the best quality of service to our clients. 

The position involves irregular hours,weekend work, travel in the UK and internationally when required.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Front line maintenance of OB facilities.
  • Aligning, adjusting and maintaining vision equipment.
  • Preparation of OB truck control systems.
  • Configuration and basic operation of vision mixers.
  • Vision control and critical picture alignment on both outdoor and studio based broadcasts.
  • Solving technical faults and problems with efficiency and professionalism, communicating and escalating issues where necessary.
  • Technical planning and implementation

Candidate Profile

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
  • Experience working in live outside broadcasts as a guarantee engineer.
  • Higher Level qualification in electronics, broadcast technology or related technical qualification.
  • Good knowledge of router control systems, mixers and camera chain's.
  • Basic knowledge of VT, EVS and file based workflows. 
  • An understanding of the workflows and practices required by major UK broadcasters.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving ability.
  • Ability to multi-task, work on numerous live projects; prioritise workload and delegate where necessary on site.
  • Excellent team working, strong communication and client facing skills; positive attitude that can get the best out of people.
  • Exceptional time management skills and ability to work to very tight deadlines; good organisation skills.
  • Logical thought processes; ability to remain calm and work well under pressure.
  • Ability to use initiative; meticulous attention to detail; pro-active and self-motivated.
  • Flexibility and commitment to get the job done.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Remuneration will be competitive - and will ultimately be dependent on skills & experience.
