Job Introduction

We are seeking a Business Development Executive to join our growing team, based in the heart of London, UK.

About the Role

As Business Development Executive, you will build sales activities and leads across the key media verticals of Online Video, Sports and Content Distribution by supporting existing resellers and vendor partners, recruiting additional channel partners and developing sales and marketing activities to grow brand awareness and new leads generation – in collaboration with the BASE Media Cloud management team.  


The role will involve UK travel and regular face-to-face meetings with partners and new business leads, acting as the face of the business and main point of contact for your assigned accounts.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and managing reseller channel and vendor partner network and sales relationships.
  • Developing key account relationships with target enterprise customers in Online Video, Sports and Content Distribution.
  • Provide product expertise and product sales training to reseller channel partner sales teams.
  • Regular account management interaction with BASE reseller channel and vendor partner key contacts to ensure excellent communication is maintained at all times.
  • Work with partners to develop promotional activities to drive sales development, including sales events, media industry trade shows, press coverage and editorial, promotional video content, website content/case studies, social media and targeted advertising.
  • Work with partners and in-house management team to create new online lead generation strategies.
  • Develop BASE product packages and pricing strategies – tailored to specific partners and clients.
  • Coordinate online sales pipeline and partner deal registration via CRM system.
  • Produce regular management reports analysing sales performance and pipeline, across all partners.


About You

 

Key Experience:

  • At least 3 years’ experience working in a similar role within the media / media technology / media services sector, with an established knowledge of and passion for the sector.
  • Formal qualification in media, business or marketing subject.
  • Must hold a valid UK Driving Licence.

  • You will be an excellent communicator, with great self-confidence, able to deal comfortably with senior-level stakeholders, face-to-face, as well as by phone and web-based meetings.
  • You will be a self-starter, with a passion for business, media and new technology, willing to give 110% to your role and excited by the prospect of working within a fast-growing business.
  • You will be confident working in a team as well as working independently and will be a natural people-person, able to adapt to a fast-moving environment.
  • You will work well under pressure and be well organised and capable of meeting project deadlines and delivering work to the highest possible standard.
