About the Role

We are seeking a Media Workflow Support Engineer to join our team based in central London.

 

The role will involve numerous responsibilities, bridging customer support and software administration, on-site client visits and user training, as well as assisting the senior professional services team with project-based work.  

 

You will play an instrumental role in providing 1st line customer support for all Software-as-a-Service solutions, for the BASE Media Cloud services portfolio.  This will include on-boarding new customers, day-to-day support of cloud service accounts, software applications administration and client product training.  You will get the opportunity to work collaboratively with our engineering team and vendor partners on exciting cloud integration projects, with a particular focus on cloud-based Media Asset Management software.

 

You will use your existing strengths in client-facing communications, task management, project work and product support, to provide outstanding quality customer service to our growing list of clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide customer support, working with our technical support team, in-house engineers and third-party vendor partners.
  • Provide on-site and remote desktop application user training to BASE customers, across the full variety of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications on offer (including Cloud Storage, File Transfer, Transcoding, Media Asset Management, Remote Working and Video Streaming).
  • Perform web-based and on-site platform demonstrations to potential and existing clientsAssist with customer requirements capture and configuration of new cloud SaaS services.
  • Manage media file and metadata migration from client on-premise storage to cloud storage.
  • Configure front-end customer user applications including; File Transfer, Cloud Storage, Media Asset Management, Transcoding, Remote Editing, Video Streaming solutions and new emerging media SaaS applications.
  • Test and check front-end customer user applications and feed back results to engineering and vendor teams.
  • Manage usage reports and daily technical reports creation and submission to management team.
  • Manage support desk and customer notifications software tools.
  • Produce and manage customer knowledge base articles and training videos for online support desk portal.
  • Evaluate and test new software products and present findings to senior management.
  • Assist in the project management and on-boarding of new Media Asset Management clients.


About You

 

Key Experience:

  • At least 1 year's experience working in a similar customer support role within the media sector.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience of media software and media workflows.
  • Formal qualification in media or technology related subject.
