Senior Motion Graphics & VFX Designer

We are responsible for helping Hollywood Studios and content owners to get their content to global audiences by providing all language services including scripting, subtitling, access services and dubbing. Our products and services span the digital spectrum, from enhanced extras packages promoting digital purchase to physical disc authoring. 

Our clients include major Hollywood studios and dozens of independent studios. To date, we’ve delivered thousands of titles to iTunes, Google, Netflix, Amazon, and others. We’ve created a large percentage of iTunes Extras titles available on the App Store, developed the specification of and delivered the first Cross-Platform Extras titles, authored more than eight-thousand DVDs, two-thousand Blu-rays, as well as award-winning tablet and mobile apps.

To support our growing global Digital Cinema team, the Senior Motion Graphics & VFX Designer will be required to lead graphics projects for localisation of major feature film and trailer productions for Hollywood studios, independents and global content providers.

Other responsibilities will include defining, maintaining and developing end-to-end graphics processes, best practice and creative developments and working closely with other departments including Subtitling, Mastering, Content Services and QC to ensure all graphical outputs meet the highest standards of creativity, quality and technical precision.

The role will also encompass workflow and process development, technology roadmaps, opportunities for automation and client interfacing including promotional activity and client-based operational support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead theatrical graphical localisation projects for major feature film and trailer releases as part of our global Digital Cinema team
  • Contribute to design and continuous evolution of graphics processes, best practice, procedures and technology developments
  • Ongoing research and evaluation of 3rd party and proprietary graphics systems and toolsets
  • Collaborate regularly with internal teams and departments including Localisation, Mastering, Administration, Sales and Technology
  • Ensure information security objectives are translated into tactical goals that guarantee information security objectives are met and exceeded
  • Abide by company security policies and protect information assets entrusted to you.

About You
Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
The ideal candidate will be expected to have a deep understanding and skill set in both 2D and 3D motion graphics and VFX work, a solid understanding of technical aspects of creative graphics processes at the highest quality standards.

You will be highly motivated, possess a flexible attitude and must be able to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment. In addition, you must able to work as part of a team that deals with changing priorities and workloads.

Skills Required:
  • Deep understanding of Adobe Creative Suite and associated technologies
  • Good 3D modelling, 2D and 3D tracking, compositing and VFX skills
  • Solid understanding of industry standard post production image formats
  • Good understanding of principles of colour science
  • Good typographic skills of benefit
  • Ability to prioritise, manage work orders and work well under pressure to achieve deadlines whilst producing high quality work
  • Detail focused with strong organisational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under own initiative and be a good team player
  • Problem solver with creative and innovative approach with ability to think out of the box
  • Ability and willingness to learn new methods, procedures, or techniques and take on new tasks.

Experience:
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in motion graphics and post-production workflows
  • Experience working in post production environments and knowledge of Digital Cinema formats and standards of benefit
  • Experience working with stereoscopic 3D, 4K, UHD and HDR content of benefit.

Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College/University or equivalent professional experience.
