Senior Production Manager

We are looking for a dynamic Senior Production Manager who can keep our video production pipeline running efficiently, manage, nurture and develop a small team and push creative work to new heights, facilitating and creating compelling content for our players.

You will take charge of the management of creative projects, as well as delegating tasks and reporting on the progress of the team. Colleagues will rely on you to plan and execute clear strategies and timelines.


Driving processes end-to-end, this role involves encouraging the team to simplify processes in order and be more productive. Confident in decision making, you will be always ready to face new challenges while striving for perfection.


This position is based in our Newcastle Under Lyme office, with travel to our London office when required.


The Studio:

Gamesys has made a significant investment in, building, creating and establishing a studio complex in the heart of North Staffordshire. Spanning over 2300 square feet, our studios are extremely adaptable to cater for a variety of production requirements. 


From quiz shows, lifestyle, light entertainment and live casino programming, we are always developing new and innovative ways to enhance our player experience through community, video, on-site promotions, and social media.


We are a growing facility, with ambitious plans to expand our technical capabilities as our creative programming progresses.


Key Responsibilities:


Managing broadcast projects;

  • Oversee the tracking and scheduling of all video productions from pitch to delivery
  • Ensure the programme meets our editorial standard
  • Making editorial decisions to maintain the quality of programmes in production
  • Manage and coordinate special projects with external clients and internal stakeholders
  • Research and advise on project tracking solutions
  • When required, manage all insurance, licensing and permits for each individual shoot and arrange any internal resources which are needed for commissioned projects
  • Providing knowledgeable creative input to all programming.


Managing relationships;

  • Fostering positive relationships by having a strong and considered point of view when expressing your opinions
  • Confident at engaging with senior and board level clients
  • Work collaboratively with various business areas
  • Proactively manage and form meaningful relationships with business areas
  • instinctively using the right method of communication.

 

Growth and commercial management;

  • Alongside the Head Of Entertainment Programming create a compelling vision for both community and video content strategy
  • Proactively identify new opportunities and new digital / video trends
  • Forecast well ahead to reduce risk of broadcast delivery moving and impacting on
  • Player as well as Chat KPI’s
  • Strategic thinking and planning skills to best optimize resources and understand how to drive change to improve performance and delivery levels.

 

Line management;

  • Work with your team and broadcast engineering to move along projects and keep standards and practices in line
  • Work closely with various business areas and marketing to lead promotional efforts on and off platform
  • Recruitment and development of team, nurturing talent to get the best out of our amazing people
  • Excellent skills in leadership of people to balance objectives of a great employee experience, player experience, and KPl performance.

Required:

  • 2-4 years' project management/production supervising experience
  • Must have experience in some or all of the following areas: Producing, Edit Producing, Line Producing, scripting
  • Ideally have experience working on multi-platform productions and interactive content
  • Management experience
  • Experience working in online media, creative agency or TV preferred, with focus on light entertainment and tv / online coverage verticals
  • A strong understand of the production process
  • Superior organization skills
  • Proven success at balancing multiple video projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work well with others in a collaborative, team environment - you LOVE people!
  • You’ve got a positive, problem solving attitude
  • You’re extremely detail oriented
  • Familiarity with social media distribution channels.
