what to expect:

1. You need to open an account to post jobs on grapevinejobs. This requires the completion of a short online new user form. At the same time you can post a new job to the site and perform other functions. We will email you to confirm your account has been opened.

2. You will have the opportunity to store a brief company profile and logo/s on the site to accompany each job you list. Presenting your company this way in your ad is likely to make the best impact with jobseekers. Once stored on the site, profiles can be used again in the future.

3. If you require multiple grapevinejobs users (eg. everyone in your HR department), one person will be nominated as Administrator. This person will be our principal contact and will be able to monitor other users. The administrator will be chosen in consultation with the company.

4. Jobs can be listed anonymously (i.e., without identifying the name of the employer, although this information must be made known to grapevinejobs). However the more detail you provide to candidates, the better your response is likely to be.

5. Jobs are posted using an online form. The process is much like preparing any job ad, but it's much quicker and there's no cost for print production. Note that job postings must include Sector, Function, Salary indicator (which can be hidden from jobseekers) and Location. This allows site visitors to filter all jobs to find those they're most interested in - a key attraction of the grapevinejobs service to jobseekers.

6. Jobs are reviewed to check they comply with our guidelines before being posted to the site. This process is almost immediate.

7. Jobs are listed chronologically, latest first. Each job posting is refreshed exactly one week after it was posted, putting it back at the top. The job list therefore changes continuously.

8. Listings appear on the site for a maximum of 8 weeks for a single low fee. After an initial run of 2 weeks, your ad will be de-listed and you will receive an email asking if the job has been filled. If it has, no further action is required. If it is still open, a link on the email will take you to the site where you can renew the posting for another 2 weeks.

9. Employers can choose an online and/or offline method for collecting applications. Options are:

  • by email direct to employer
  • by email to any other email address (e.g., to a recruitment consultant for initial screening)
  • by regular mail or fax to whatever address is specified by employer.
